I know this is beside the point on your robot reset issue. However, in autonomous mode, you can and should write your current "state" to EEPROM and read it back on the next cycle. You have to make sure you clear it out when you transition out of autonomous mode.
We assumed that we would have a reset during autonomous operation and didn't want to experience the problems you described. |
