IRI Music 2003

Last year, due greatly to David Kelly the music at IRI was a great success. This year David Kelly and I are working to make it better and more extensive, but we need help with music for the awards. Although the music for the awards was some what good (and a little creative at the same time), the list was made in the last 10 minutes while we sat there. So, this is your chance. What songs are played during the awards ceremony and which ones are your favorite?

Please help make the music at IRI better this year

Here's what I have:

Peter Gabriel - Big Time
Smash Mouth - All Star
Phil Collins - Dance Into The Light
Beatles - "With a little help from my friends" song
U2 - Beautiful Day

Yep

Ya... I actually had this posted under that thread for awhile, but I decided to move it to a new thread because I felt that the Thanks Forum wasn't the right place for it. I'm actually one of the ones that helped pick out most of the awards music last year, but we are looking for the actual songs that FIRST plays. I was just hoping someone would read this and either remember a song or go look at any video they have of the awards. Help is still appreciated.

Clark and i already discussed whether to make a new thead or contune that one. We came to the conclusion that because that was about the 2002 IRI and it was about thanking me for the music, a new thread was needed. Thanks for your observations though Help us!

In fact, you could probably make a whole dozen Krispy Kremes off of it...

p.s. don't ask for a repeat

I have a challenge for you guys... this may be tough to get.

I wanna hear the song that Ebenezer Scrooge sings at the end of the old black and white movie "A Christmas Carol" (from the Dickens book, of course).

I don't know the name of the song, but it goes...

"thank you very much
thank you very much
that's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done _ for _ me"

.....

This is the one where he is singing as he is dancing down the street, being nice to everyone.

So there ya go.

Andy B.

Ok Andy...

I'll take you up on this challenge. I'm downloading the awards movie from the Midwest Regional too for more songs. I'll even try to have it by Wednesday.

Edit: My guess is that it's probably "28. Different Side to Scrooge" I'm at school now, but when I get home I'll download it and see. <---hard song to find

Edit 2: I've added 3 more songs to the list.
Eric Clapton - It's in the way that you use it
Bachman Turner Overdrive - You Aint' Seen Nothing Yet
Leslie Carter - Like Wow

Here's what I have.
Eric Clapton - It's in the way that you use it
Bachman Turner Overdrive - You Aint' Seen Nothing Yet
Leslie Carter - Like Wow
Peter Gabriel - Big Time
Smash Mouth - All Star
Phil Collins - Dance Into The Light
Beatles - "With a little help from my friends" song
U2 - Beautiful Day
DMB - I Did It
Simon and Garfunkel - Pina Coloda

Will probably be used for something:
Proclaimers - I Would Walk 1000 Miles

Biz Markie - "you say he's just a friend" song

Thanks to all the people that have helped me.
