You'd be right IF life ended with the seeding round. The way I see it: If you can reliably grab and control goals, you may not make it into the finals on your own, but you'd make a fantastic alliance partner for someone.

(Understand, I'm not saying I was able to convince my team that this is the tack we should take -- it's just another option (should anyone still be designing their robots.)
