Valleygirls (4-1) d. R.I. Electrons (3-2)
86-78
This all came down to the receiver battle. The Electrons were praying for Peerless Price to pull through on Monday, but he only caught one pass. RI's replacement for Eirc Moulds only scored 3. Meanwhile, the ValleyGirls receivers took 17 points, enough to net a victory. Of couse, had the commisioner left Tommy Maddox in, this would all be a moot point, as the Electrons would've won by 2 (Jay Feidler took in a measly 12, although that did outscore Kyle Boller by 2). Them's the breaks, I guess.

Koko's X-Cats (4-1) d. Coco's Monkeys (1-4)
94-34
"It's the Kookoo for Coco game (heh. sorry.)!" That was bad, Ed. "Coco's Monkey's finally got the message and put in players on defense who are actually playing but even the highest scoring defensive studs are not going to make up for the absence of LaDanian Thomlinson combined. Unless Tiki Barber has a carrer day and Paul Edinger kicks 50 50 yard fields and scores a touchdown Coco's Monkeys really are hopelessly outmatched." He is right though. Byes killed the Monkeys, and the Cats had a great game anyway.

-To Be Determined- (2-3) d. Bane (2-3)
125-93
Brad Johnson scored 51! That's enough of a review right there. But I'll also include for TBD Derrick Mason's 28, and Keith Brooking's 12. Bane had a great day too, but stumbled when their running backs combined for 0. Sam Madison took 21, but Tim Couch's lack of thereness (another Eddieism) sealed it for TBD.

Dunedain (3-1-1) d. 29 Patriots(1-4)
88-54
Defense, defense, defense. If the Patriots had one, they may have had a fighting chance. Dunedain easily took that one with 49, more then half his score. Other than that, nothing too spectacular for either team, as they both were closely matched with low scores everywhere else (except for Dunedain's kicker, who scored 13).

Cooney Quest (2-2-1) d. Pinman (0-5)
114-92
Ack! The week Pinman pulls through, his opponent pulls through too. Pinman's defense scored a high 56, but Cooney kept with him at 43. Cooney's receivers had 15, over Pinman's 2. Even in the running, Bret Farve took 38 for the Quest. Meanwhile, Pinman's equal only scored 23. Poor pinman...

CB234 (3-2) d. Nor Cal Crushers (1-4)
137-83
Another lack of defense story, Nor Cal's scored only 22. Maybe I shouldn't mention CB's 60, enough to wipe out just about anyone. QB battle was good, with CB's Steve McNair edging out Rich Gannon by 10. Running, receiving, and kicking were all even. Defense was your game, and the Crushers didn't have it.

Philly Cheesesteaks(5-0) d. Scrawny White Guys (1-4)
81-66
It looked like the White Guys were going for a winning streak, taking out the undefeated Philly. Then he put up six 0's. Drew Brees's bye also hurt them, letting Peyton Manning gain 30 unanswered. Pretty even the rest of the way, including even kicking and defense (5 of the Guy's 6 non-scorers). But Manning was enough to keep the Cheesesteaks undefeated.

Hurricanes (3-2) d. Snowballs (2-3)
82-80
This was primarily played on Monday, with Torry Holt pulling in 27 for the Snowballs. But the Hurricanes almost blew it, with one of the WRs pulling in -2. Luckily, they had two more players playing on Monday scoring 9 for them. I guess Chad Pennington's absence and four others putting up donuts didn't help the Snowballs either.

Your Team Name (4-1) d. Chesapeake Cruisers (3-2)
67-59
A dead battle was only made a game by the Cruisers' Baltimore taking 22, and Jeff Wilkins's 11. YTN had the receiver game 21 to 1. They both had an empty slot on defense, and indeed, Chesapeake dominated that category (with a 41). Bledsoe's 20 though was enough to hold together YTN for at least another week. Jake Plummer was unfortunately out for the Cruisers.
