2 goal grabber

I know there are several bots that can grab 2 goals at the same time by driving between them and latching from the side. How successful have teams been in disrupting these robots? Has pushing the center goal towards your opponent worked to disrupt their strategy?

This depend son "Speed" and "Latching accuracy" - it boils down to whomever gets there first and how well the 2 goal grabber can grab - after that, if you can get a goal and not let the 2 goal grabber get to the 2nd one they basically become a single goal grabber. 2 fast single goal grabbers have to beat the double goal grabber, but just to shove them away for a few seconds isn't going to do the trick, because the 2 goal grabber may eventually catch up to another goal. 2 minutes is a long time.

team 230 had a very fast robot that could grab 2 goals. When they got the goals into the zone, they plated down and nobody could move them. They also had a tether to touch into their endzone. THey were very goos at getting the two goals first.

Talking moving

Our robot can latch onto 2 goals, but it doesn't have to go between them, but we won't do it unless we have to move the goals across the field, usually we are only one 1 goal at a time with both arms, or just pushing with the back. Any ?'s

well, in the first elim match we were in, we got to the center before the other bot (which was a 2 goal grabber), knocked the left goal away, and we azlmost won, except our driver was told t ogo away down the field, and we lost by 2 points.

We have the ability to grab 2 goals on our sides. Some teams over looked that ability of our robot in Long Island , but its ok we get to the goals within 3 seconds of the match starting.

what kind of wheels did you guys use? i remember the we (173) pulled you guys when you were sideways and latched onto 2 goals. I think that could be avoiced by use better wheels, such as the pneumatic ones

we were pulled sideways only because it was the semi finals and we were givin it all we had left in the bot, but when we had our brake down no one moved us at all.

The wheels are aluminum wrapped with tank tread belts. They have some really good traction. For a 2 wheeled robot we moved the 2 goals really well.
