Here is another bit of advice for fasteners:
We have been using aluminum fasteners wherever steel is not needed for strength purposes. 3 seasons ago we were able to redice our weight by 1.75 pounds by substituting these for most of the steel ones. The weight of these steel ones does add up (the weight of aluminum is generally 1/3 that of steel).
