My Digital 'Kit of Parts' For My Friends

In an effort to assist all of you in getting a little extra sleep (at least those of you who are trying to draw those kitparts) and since MIT was kind enough to put up the http://sharingfirst.mit.edu website, I thought I would share my digital 'Kit of Parts'. Just go to TEAM 34 and look under 'cad/kitparts'. I have about 10 or so posted but I plan to release everything I have (I'm converting everything to ACADR13 and zipping). Enjoy and get some sleep !

This is a great resource for all teams but especially for newer teams. You contribute a little and you get a lot! I hope everyone can participate in this 'SHARE FIRST' thing. I know the HOTHEADS will.

I also ment to say that these are are not the same drawings that were given to us by FIRST a couple of years ago but my own more detailed interpretations.

I'll get this posting thing right one day =)

http://sharingfirst.mit.edu

To use this site you must create an account. Once you have a password go to the 'Teams' page and click on 'Bob Jones High School' or 'Team 34'. I add parts as I draw them so check back often. Comments, suggestions, and requests are welcome !

Hope you guys put them to good use and I hope to see you at the competitions. Good Luck !

Is there a way to use the files in Autodesk Inventor? If I simply open one I receive the error AutoCAD 2000 not correctly installed on this system.

To answer my own question in case anyone else was having the same problem:

Autodesk plans to release a MDT to Inventor translator, but it is not ready yet. The best way I've found yet is to open the files in MDT, export data as an ACIS .sat file, select objects in the assembly, and then open the .sat file in Inventor. Unfortunately the parts in Inventor have no constraints.
