We finished in third and was the #3 seed. our bot could only hold 1 ball at a time but pretty much every time we tried to hang we did. we were only 1 point from being top seed. at 32 pts a round average. heat wave and HC-COP were 1 and 2 both with 33 heat wave had a higher total qP's so they got #1 seed. So if you can score the big points and score the big points for them you will do well. we had the 2 highest score of the day 69 Qp's with heat wave and 60 with team 411 the team you talked about getting 2 balls from the HP and still doing well. But both times the deciding factor was the ramp. Both times we hung and our alliance was on the bar or ramp. the best play of the day was when team 186 or 86(not sure) blocked 2 teams from being capeable of getting on the ramp. All by itself winning the round 2 against 1. this shows the importandce of the ramp and bar.
also defence was a key. we picked SPAM as a partner and they didnt put balls in the basket. they had the perfect balance of torque and speed they held back some of the biggest teams around. so if your bot isnt doing what you think it should do change your idea on what it should do .... hang and block.
