I am in charge of the animation team for Chief Delphi.

I agree with Joe. We use old versions to do many operations. You do not need all the bells and whistles of the latest version.

Contact a local Autodesk retailer I am sure they have older versions that would be cheap or better yet free. Remind them it is hard to sell old software.
