steel plate ........legal dimensions?
Posted by S. Krussell at 2/9/2001 12:02 PM EST
Coach on team #349, Robahamas, from International Academy and Ford Motor Co.. Hey....we noticed that the additional hardware list has a 1/4 inch limit on steel plate, but that Small Parts has 3/8 inch available. So, the question is, can we use the 3/8 steel plate? I'm not sure if we can assume that we are allowed to use EVERYTHING/ANYTHING listed in the Small Parts catalog. |

Yes, 3/8" is OK, as long as you buy from SPI

You can also get some other sizes of steel out of the rods and bar stock that SPI provides, but the types of steel are slightly different in the various sizes. For instance, cold rolled steel can be purchased in 3" round stock, but you can only get ground tool steel in 2" stock. Andy B. |
