Student on team #368, Kika Mana, from McKinley High School and Nasa Ames/Hawaiian Electric/Weinberg Foundation. In Reply to: How are your Drivers and Human players doing????????? Posted by Chris on 2/9/2001 2:00 PM EST: Our drive system is pretty much completely different from last year so practicing with last year's robot was not too much of an option. We built a prototype robot out of 2x4 wood and I (the current driver) was able to practice with that. Myself and the other robot operator are returning from last year so part of the practice is already taken care of. As for human players, I think we just may have some sort of "tryout" session for prospective "basketballers". We hope to have multiple options in the human player department. Just my personal thoughts... Ch |
