girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?

One weekend this year, a guy on my team pointed out a girl on annother team and turned to me and said "wow she is hot.."
I turned and said "do you want her number, or what?"

so our team was just standing around in our pit in atlanta when a few ppl from this team come give us a little orange handheld fan. we turned it on and found that it lights up. the first setting says go waldo girls go. then it has a bunch of hearts. then it says call us. and the next one was a phone number.

we called the number a little while later and the guy said turn around im behind u :| we're still laughing about that

alright so last year in atlanta i was in our team's pit with my friend and these guys came up to us and said they were scouting. they asked us a few questions about the robot but then they just started asking us random questions and then one of them proceeded to introduce himself as "Jonas the German Love Machine"

Oh man, I wish I would have seen this thread before the Michigan State Competition. I met this really cute girl while scouting ( ), and I might have had the courage to talk to her again had I seen this beforehand. Oh well, maybe I'll see her at a fall off-season competition.

Ha.. So I wasn't even in the pit when this happened. But a bunch of guys came into our pit and walked up to Michelle(she's my best friend) and they go.."Umm hey where is that one girl, you know curly brown hair, she's wearing shorts, she has that elephant backpack on, she looks like she is a cheerleader(I don't even know how they knew that or could tell I was) ?" Michelle is like ohh shes scouting she will be back later....the funny thing is.. They kept on coming around and around and around but never had the courage to talk to me.

this one worked on me during the summer on a cruise: as a Hookup line ONLY

after talking about random stuff for a while, this girl leaned over and kissed me on the cheek and said "i know we'll only be here for a week, but do you think we could hook up or something?" it worked, and we had a good time on the cruise; the odd thing is that we've still been in a long distance relationship (not all LDR's are bad) for 4 years!!! we'll see if we ever end up seeing each other again...

While our team was competing, we like to have a couple girls stay in the pits at all times for the judges and for random questions. I told the other girls that they could go up and watch, cause it made me nervous so I stayed in the pits.
Well earlier that day a bunch of boys had been circling around "scouting"
They had "scouted" our team 5 times and for the 6th time, they were like can we ask you some questions about your robot. i was like oh of course, but our robot is gone.
Then they proceeded to say, oh its ok we dont mind. As I started to explain it, one of the guys said "Hey ya know were staying in the Americ Inn right down the street, you should stop by."
I just laughed and after a couple minutes of awkward silence, they left

At the NASA/VCU Regional this year I was in the pits about to relay a message to the guys queuing for our next match. I'm like paraniod about going places by myself so I took two of the guys with me. We were looking for them in the line when these two guys came up to me and were like "Do you want a button?"

Then the two guys from my team were like "Can we get a button?" and the two nervous guys were like "Uh... that was our last one. We just wanted to talk to her."

And apparently while I was scouting with the other girl on my team we were hit on, but I'm just completely oblivious cause I missed it every single time. She told me later when we were in the stands and I was like "Oh... Were any of them cute?" She said no so I wasn't worried about it.

One of the girls on our team was tackled by a hawk mascot in roller skates to where he was on her on the last day while everyone else was helping pack up. We joke around with her saying that the hawk was doing pelvic thusts in her general direction.

The guys in my team make up pickup lines at the competition during our matches.

"I'll turn your super cell into an empty cell." is the only one I can remember right now. I just really hope they didn't use them on anyone.

We had a guy come into our pit and ask to talk to our safety captain. She asked him if she could help him and his reply was "I would give you a safety token but it's not safe to have a body that fine in the pits." Her boyfriend wheeled up with our robot after a match at that exact moment.

thats a good line... i have to say, im impressed, the timing was off, but otherwise.... great line

maybe its because im already a over protective brother....

but i have scared some boys away from our pits...

"can i give you a massage"
"i have abs of steel...and i dont even work for em"
"i have a thinkg about redheads"
"you do crew? i do too, we should date"
and ANOTHER MENTOR HIT ON ONE OF MY STUDENDS......no comment on that one....

Then some guys jumped onto one of our girls and tried dancing/grinding with her at the hotel...that got put to an end REAL quick...

so all in all, i think i scared away about 3-4 guys this season. And by scared i mean they never said another word to any of our freshmen girls...and they where right next to us... like i said..i may be a little over protective....

althought i was proud our boys gave their numbers away, i was starting to think they had no lives hehe
