scoring ramp dimensions

Engineer on team Bulldogs from Breithaupt/Renaissance sponsored by DaimlerChrysler. Posted on 10/22/2000 6:05 PM MST Do you have the dimensions of the scoring ramp? I mean the placement of the squares on the ramp, where are they compared to the sides and each other? |

It has been up for days on the 'field pictures' section of the main CDI page. Good Luck. Joe J. |

Please list what the numbers are supposed to be or have a sharper picture. thanks from a 'blind' engineer. |

What my eye sees...

Posted on 10/23/2000 6:53 PM MST In Reply to: Re: See Field Section posted by Suzy on 10/23/2000 5:26 PM MST: The numbers look okay on my screen. Perhaps it is just that I have seen them before. In any case here is the basic dim. stuff. The squares are all 9 1/2 by 9 1/2 so I won't go into them any more. Skipping the dim's detailing the squares, the dim's on the left side of the ramp read (from top to bottom) 34 3/4 19 3 1/4 Again skipping the dim's for the squares, the dim's along the top of the ramp read (from left to right) 9 1/4 and 29 1/4 The entire ramp is 48 by 48 in true view. The ramp is 6 inches high (less the carpet). The sub-floor is a 3/4 inch piece of plywood, spaced down 3/4 of an inch (by a wood '1 by 3'). The sub-floor is carpeted in the color of the ramp (red or blue, depending on the side of the field). The edges and middle support for the ramp are made from a '2 by 6' cut into right triangles, the legs of which are 5 1/4 and 47 11/16. (Which works out to be 47.975 inches for the long side of the triangle -- ideal for mounting a 48 X 48 inch sheet of plywood to ;-) I hope that this clears things up a bit. Joe J. |
