Is there any OS9 PBasic Stamp editors out there? If there is, please post or send me a PM. That would be a HUGE help!!!!

There is one for OS X. It's on parallax's site... Brand new too... never was there before.

http://www.muratnkonar.com/MacBS2/

Quote:
- Parallax BS2, BS2e, BS2p, BS2p40, BS2pe, or BS2sx Basic Stamp chip
- Mac OS X 10.2 (might work with earlier versions, but we haven't tried)
- Keyspan USB to Serial adapter (either the USA-19 or the USA-28) NOTE: These are the only serial adapters that are known to work at the moment, though you can try others.

It says OS 10.2, but you can sure give it a try on OS 9. If you get it to work, send the creators an e-mail letting them know it's compatible with OS 9. I'm sure they'd like to know.

It only works on OS10. It's a DMX file. Also, OSX uses a different structure than OS9.

The Parallax tokenizer supports OS 9, all you need to do is find a Mac PBasic editor.

I suggest a Google Search. I'd suggest searching under Mac PBasic Editor (or possibley "OS 9" Pbasic Editor). I'd do it myself but I'm short on time right now.

I don't think so. I'd just get yourself down the nearest Apple Store or Apple Reseller and buy yourself a copy of OS X. It's better anyway. And that MacBS2 works REALLY well...I'm doing everything with it now. Sorry, but I haven't seen anything for OS 9, and I doubt that you will see anything because OS 9 is virtually dead to developers.

The reason he is asking: Our county has given all high school students iBooks, but they don't want to give us the power of Unix. Also they have locked down the computers so we can't install any programs without authorization.

Okay, I feel happy for you because you got iBooks, I'm sorry about the restrictions. I could help ya get around the installing restriction if you wanted.... Anyway, sorry there isn't much to be done. Just send Innovation First a bunch of e-mails asking for an OS 9 program, and get the district to install a copy of Virtual PC on your iBook. I wish my school district gave us all laptops, I wouldn't mind having a second!

EDIT: I'm stupid, I fix my stupid typing errors.
