Cool Team 95, real inspiration

We all know that FIRST teaches more lessons than just robot building....On this day in FIRSTland with 2-3 inches of heavy slush in the driveway, I was facing 2 hours of tough shoveling. My snowblower always plugs up with this heavy stuff....Well, Team 95's Silicone Spray came to mind.....They used this stuff in 2002 to stop those balls from jamming up when trying to dump them...(One of the most amazing performances of 2002). Sprayed some of that stuff in th dry snowblower and the slush never plugged it up once... Now I have some time to kill today to try and find some $$$ to keep CHAOS going for another year. Thanks again Lebanon, you Cold Weather Guys are a real inspiration.

We're flattered.

Really!

I outa keep that in mind when I go to start our snowblower tomarrow, something I should have done last week. Oh well.

In retrospect, While I'm fairly sure the spray was in SPI, I don't know it was really legal. This would be because the case could be made that it would make the balls slicker for the next round (the amount we used was so small that I doubt it could have made any noticable diffrence). While no one evercomplained, I was always waiting for a judge to come up and question us on it. Yikes!

My heart goes out to you folks. I spent most of the day shoveling SUNSHINE here in Arizona (now I remember why I moved from Ohio in 1994). It only got up to 79 here today (almost chilly). Looking forward to seeing all you "Noreastern" folks in March at the Arizona Regional.

Snow rules. You guys need better vehicles if you have to snow-blow 2-3 inches When the snow sets off the air bags...THEN it's time to snow-blow

Speaking of 95...

*sob* You guys aren't going to the J&J Mid-Atlantic this year. Sorry to see that you won't be there. All of us at 550 and I'm sure many others will miss you guys and gals.
