Remember Yo-Yo Man from the Smuther's Bros.? I want to be like the Yo-Yo Man!

Watch out, Yo-Yo Man, that's not where you're supposed to put the scissors!

Nice thread!
I really enjoy remembering my childhood... but, uh, to be sincere it hasn't finished yet!
When I discover Beakman's World I just couldn't stop watching it! Unfortunately here in Brazil just a few people knew about it but it helped me a lot to understand Science. Do you remember Lester?
And what about Strawberry Shortcake? Have you ever watched it?? That show was sooooo cute!! I still have some Strawberry Shortcake's dolls!

It used to be on after school (here, at least... Chicago television is apparently way different from the rest of the country). I would run home just to make sure I didn't miss the beginning.

I know I posted about Beakman's World back in the beginning of this thread, but to maybe get this going again...
Has any show changed your life by watching it? I can think of two examples.

1. I was watching Beakman's World one morning about why your stomach gargles when you are hungry, and the network interrupted it to introduce Desert Storm. Crazy, huh?

2. Watching 'Empty Nest' when I was around 11 or 12, they had Garth Brooks as a guest. The next day I went out an bought his first tape (ha! before CD's were even around!), and it's been history ever since.

She could also unfreeze people by touching them, after time was frozen. She talked to her dad through a crystal (probably plastic) cube, on a small table, in her room.

I remember one of the characters' alter egos was Mosquito Man, or something like that. Rather funny. This brings back a lot of memories, too.

A list of shows unfortunately (and at the same time, fortunately) not mentioned yet:

Kenan and Kel
AHH! Real Monsters
VR Troopers
Masked Rider
GhostWriter
Pete and Pete
Nick Arcade
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Figure It Out
All the crazy Disney cartoons (Timon and Pumbaa, Goof Troop)
Crappy pop band spin offs (New Kids on the Block, Kid N Play)
Alice in Wonderland
Under the Umbrella Tree
Tiny Toon Adventure
Animaniacs
and, finally, last but certainly not least...the man...the myth...the legend....
HEY DUDE!!!!!
I gotta go get a life for saying and remembering all of these shows.

Nickelodeon really pimped it out in the earlier 90s.

Nobody's going to be really oldschool and say they watched Leave It To Beaver reruns or the Brady Bunch, eh?

Thumbs up

Fraggle Rock, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Smurfs were all some of my absolute favorites. And Shirah and He-man. And Mighty Mouse. You Can't Say That on Television. Ch-ch-ch-chip and Dale!! Rescue Rangers...hehehe wow I'm a dork...what else...I definitely was a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles though...big time fan!! Mork and Mindy, Get Smart (did anyone else ever watch that show?? It was so good!! With the detective...on Nickelodeon at night...) the one in like the 60's...with the soon-to-be Marilyn Manson...he played like Paul or something, and the main character had a girlfriend who was really smart...grrr...can't think of it...The Wonder Years!! That's it...sorry. Ducktales, with Hewey, Dewey, and Louie (sp?), and of course Donald Duck!! hehehe Umm...there are others but I forget them...I miss those shows!!

Now I thoroughly enjoy Spongebob, Family Guy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Simpsons, Futurama...the good ones

Actually, I was thinking of a 1980 children's movie. I just recently found the video while cleaning out the family room.
