Custom Pneumatic Pistons, Cut off date?

Our team plans on ordering the custom pistons however we have yet to determine exactly what their job will be.

Is there a cut off date on when we can order them? Also if we dont get them before ship date can we just have the robot built to accept them and add them on when we get to the regional? Is that against the rules or not?

Ordering Pistons

There is no cutoff date listed in the pneumatics manual. but due to shipping inconviences, I'd try to get the form sent by the end of the week. There's no rules against building your bot at the regionals -- that's precisely what Thursday is for. If you have stuff to attach or even build, do it before you get weighed-in.

We just ordered the second pair of cylinders for our 'bot.

I spoke to "Julie" at HPE Automation, at the 'emergency' number on the fax order form. She's seems like a good sort. What she told us in two separate conversations leads me to say "Mark your order 'to Parker ONLY'" because Bimba refuses to ship this far. They sent our first pair not to us, but to HPE, where they languished until HPE sent it to us at our expense, after we phoned Julie. Parker does ship to the wilderness up here, and they even have reps up here if you get stuck for time, and they're willing to help us obtain what we need. How's that for Great People to whom to send all of your business !!!!

The upshot is, we should see the cylinders in less than a week.

There is no deadline until the lead time before robot shipping date. Order now, avoid the mid-February rush.
