Re: The weirdest thing w/ duct tape...

The girls on our team have duck tape skirts for competition, myself excluded. Something about a skirt in the pits doesn't seem like it'd work too well.

Hmmm does a trench coat sound weird?
or how about pants?
or gloves....
I kinda make duct tape "things" for sale in my spare time so nothing is odd to me...

they do inhibit movement from what i've seen, and it's hard to make the duck tape go along with the curves of your body. which further is reason for why i won't wear one.

I could imagine that you could incorporate pieces of elastic bands into articles of clothing, so that they'll "fit", as it were.

Re: The weirdest thing w/ duct tape...

This year in our engineering class we went to Tech Trek and one of the competitions was Duct Tape Fanatics. The groups had to make a sandle out of duct tape and other junk type objects.

I love his hot water heater: Tape 3 propate torches onto the wall of your shower and have them all point at the shower head.

As for duct tape...Think 1 large novelty sombrero, 8 rolls of duct tape, and 8 robotics members in a hotel room with more caffiene than is legal to posses in some small nations.

And there also was the time we completely wrapped our coach's car in duct tape.

Re: NH Duct Tape fans

Can't duct tape remove warts?
(Not instantly, of course. From what I've heard you have to keep it on for a couple of weeks)

Re: NH Duct Tape fans

Don't know about warts (looks like it might cause a sticky situation (ok...sorry...bad pun)), but I have used it to immobilize a couple of toes that were starting to blister while backpacking. Worked like a charm, and I made it off of the trail with no further damage.

Re: The weirdest thing w/ duct tape...

my favorite thing i ever made out of duct tape was a pair of sunglasses..

I had a pair of sunglass lenses from an old pair of glasses so i made the frames completely out of duct tape and put the lenses in and they worked great..

kinda stinks since i cant find them now because they were my favorite pair of sunglasses i have ever had

Re: The weirdest thing w/ duct tape...

well, my brother knows that I am a fan of making things out of duct tape (wallets, purses, flip-flops, yadda yadda yadda). So when one of his female friends invited him to prom and asked him if he would be willing to do the Duck Tape prom contest with her, guess who he asked to help him make his outfit? Yup! Me! But the great thing about it is that, seeing as my brother is a comedian to major proportions, he's not wearing a tux. Instead, both he and the girl are going in dresses. Hee hee. (Scary thing is, he looks good in dresses, 'cuz he has had to wear them before for plays and the such). I can't wait have him in the final outfit.
