Thoughts from VCU

Well, I'm back the day after VCU and the 5-hour drive home. First off, thanks to our alliance partners #122 and #384, we had lots of fun with you guys and congratulations to the rest of the finalists. Tons of fun was had by all.

Anyhow, down to business. Whenever I had a break from running MOE, I had a chance to watch other team's matches. Did anyone else besides me, there or watching the webcast, notice that a lot of teams lost matches simply because they weren't aware of the score? Many matches could have been won or lost simply by one of the alliance members driving back to their endzone. I know it's harder to see what's going on from the competition station then the stands (our last match, we completely sheared off our middle gripper, and I STILL don't know how ). Just a little advice to teams out there who haven't competed yet... have your advisor or human player sit there and calculate the score constantly. Sometimes, the difference between a victory and a loss is simply one ball. That happened to us as well.

There's my thoughts... how about the rest of you? And good luck to everyone out there who still has to compete. I forgot how fun competitions were.
