Ed it would only help him if hasselback was the starter they are starting dilfer.

Didn't know he was going to be a last minute scratch.

The Teal Curtain game-thats amazing, keeping there unbeaten streak alive with a one point victory. Clap it up for them, a very clutch win.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league

Doing this before the Thanksgiving games.

Nor Cal Crushers (4-6) d. Rhode Island Charge (6-4)
65-49
Rhode Island hasn’t been at full strength in about a month, so you knew their luck had to run out eventually. This battle had two things going for it: the even QB battle (with Nor Cal’s Trent Green scoring 17 compared to R.I.’s Brees putting up 16), and the defense (the Crushers had one led by Jacksonville’s 14, the Charge didn’t). The other categories were very even, so those two previous points are what determined the game.

Koko's X-Cats (5-5) d. The Borg (3-6)
79-28
Saw this massacre coming. The Borg’s only offense literally came from Brian Westbrook and his 17 points. And with not much defense, this one ended quickly. But I kinda have to talk about the X-Cats, because they performed well despite their opponent. Michael Pittman nabbed 18, accompanied by Antonio Gates’s score of 11. But what made this game a blowout was a defensive score of 35 for the Cats, which was led by a Tampa Bay 23. The X-Cat’s pull into the stacked 6-5 bracket vying for the last three playoff spots.

JC's Juggernauts (3-7) d. South Fl Jets (6-3)
63-60
“The Juggernauts go with rookie Eli Manning, thus the Jets have to feel good about their chances with Matt Hasselback on their side.” This is what should’ve happened, but one of the more surprisingly exciting bouts of the week comes down to a last-minute scratch in the Jets’ QB slot. Matt Hasselbeck pulled a quad, and was unable to play. Meanwhile, Eli Manning got his first start for the Juggernauts, and ironically, pulled in exactly 3 points. But I’m over-accentuating this point (no matter how vital it was). This game was pretty darn even. Both had a running back score 15 (Jets won that category by 2 overall). Both had a receiver missing, and had another offensive player score 10 (Juggernauts took combined K/WR by 3). Defense was 23-22 in favor of South Florida. Note the evenness. Which brings us all the way back to where we started: the QBs. An injury is what made this (essentially) do-or-die win for the Juggernauts possible.

Dunedain (4-6) d. The Lightning (4-6)
63-49
Michael Vick actually had a good game this season. He led Dunedain’s offense with 19. The Lightning matched up with Edgerrin James’s 16. Both offenses prettymuch ended there, so we move to defense. This was where the lightning struck The Lightning (is it sad that what I just said made perfect sense?). Dunedain dominated here 32-15. With their fourth win in a row, Dunedain are looking to make a late plunge into the playoff race.

Coco's Monkeys (5-5) d. Toronto Fumblers (6-4)
87-50
You knew the Phantom Fumblers’ winning streak had to end eventually. This was just simply a case of being outplayed. Toronto only had a Mushin Muhammad 17 to be proud of. The Monkeys played their usual game of Manning and Dillon (who combined for 39) with help from Seattle’s 20. Both teams are in the middle of the tight playoff race.

Hurricanes (1-8-1) d. This Space for Rent (3-7)
64-49
You knew the Hurricanes’ losing streak had to end eventually. “Vinny Testeverde could be rendered invisible by the Ravens D…” Once again, TSfR is burdened with a quarterback unable to score positive numbers. It’s too bad that Buffalo’s 25 went wasted for them. But even with that noted, the Hurricanes still played their best game since week one when they scored 100. “The Canes have good players in Donovan McNabb and Shaun Alexander.” Those two combined for 35. With not much else on either side joining the fray, these aforementioned notes are what made this game.

Philly Cheesesteaks (7-3) d. Cooney Quest (9-1)
73-61
You knew Cooney’s complete domination of the league had to end eventually (I’m sensing a pattern here…). The Quest had an underperforming offense this week, with only Holt and Vinatieri putting up dual 10s (and a Terrence McGee 16 in a D spot was their best score). Philly played this game like it has all others: relying on Daunte Culpepper (17), with auxiliary support from Domanick Davis (11) and Eddie Drummond (15). The rest of the offense contributed as well, ending Cooney’s impressive nine-game win streak.

The Shoats (6-3-1) d. Stud Man Clan (4-6)
76-34
“The Clan have an empty space on the roster and a quarterback out. So basically they are dead in the water.” Yeah, let’s go with that. The Shoats had a Delhomme 12, a Reggie Wayne 17, and a pair of 11s from Elam and Harrison. The Clan had, well, nothing.

Valleygirls (6-4) d. Bonecrushers (6-4)
54-31
“Not sure if Byron Leftwich or Amos Zeroue will play for the Bonecrushers, and that is the main thing on the line on what will happen. If they play, how healthy they are and how much they can contribute will have to be asked. If they can't, then it doesn't really matter what else the Bonecrushers have.” Ed has officially made my job easier today. That’s the story of the Bonecrushers this week. Looking at the Valleygirls, the only major threat they had going was the Baltimore DEF with 19. But everybody contributed once again, easily putting them over the Bonecrushers and their absences.

NU Cowboys
1-10-0, W1, 1625

Koko's X-Cats (5-6)314ValleyGirls(5-6)247
Basically it's Daunte Culpepper vs. Chris Brown, Corey Dillon and Derrick Baylock (depending how healthy Priest Holmes is). What Ron Dayne and Troy Hambrick contribute will help the Valleygirls tremendously.
Brown was a pre-game scratch but Dillon and Blaylock put up 108 points to offset Daunte Culpepper's 112 points which in turn was admirably battled by the X-Cat's Ben Roethlisberger's 90 points. Dayne and Hambrick could only contribute 14 points.

NorCal Crushers (7-4) 236 Sparxs1126(5-6) 211
The Crushers used a 121- 50 advantage in the defensive game to slip away with the victory.

Dunedain (9-2) 322 gaelforce126(4-7)114
Bulgers effectiveness could be effected by the weather in Buffalo not to mention Willis McGahees ball control. With McAllister, Owens and Pittman on the roster Dunedain could run away with it unless Portis and Hasselback play out of their minds.
Bulger nearly outscored gaelforce by himslef (110 points) and it just got worse from there with Hasselback being a late scratch and three other players putting up zeroes gaelforce had no chance at all.

Pelan's Bobcats(7-4)286.5 boodah25 (6-5) 258
The running game was the determining factor as the Bobcats three backs outscored boodah25's two backs 116 - 82.

Paragon571 (9-2)279 ryforstek525 (2-9) 187
Paragon gets it easy having Peyton Manning getting free shots at ryforstek525 and the benched Kurt Warner.
Manning scores 79. Game over.

NU Cowboys (1-10) 261 Sigmakittens (4-7) 213
Well lookie here! Without byes decimating the roster the Cowboys finally break thorugh! It started with AJ Feeley's 88 points and kept rolling through the 75-47 advantage in the running game. Congrats.

Amaizin' Blue (7-4) 407 Epsilon Delta (4-7) 266
LaDanian Thomlinson still has to outscore both Brian Westbrook and Reuben Droughns because Epsilon Delta refuses to maintain their roster.
Well Thomlinson did his part and scored 91 points. Unfortunately James, Westbrook and Droughns combined for 173. After that it just got brutal.

The Teal Curtain(10-0) 199 Cooney Quest(2-8)198
So close. The Packers scored 158 points and the Quest could have used 159. Actually they could have used something more from the other players. The Curtain did not expect Jamal Lewis to go down so early thus making the scoring much closer than expected.

LEAGUGE 1 WEEK XII ANALYSIS

Koko's X-Cats (5-6)vs Paragon571 (9-2)
Ben Roethlisberger will be hard pressed to keep upwith Peyton Manning but the X-cats possess a pair of Manning's targets Brandon Stokley and Marcus Pollard. The X-cats have Corey Dillon has to cope with the tough Baltimore Ravens D, Chris Brown is hurting and Priest Holnes is getting better every day so Derrick Blaylock could be rendered a backup any week. Paragon 571 has Tiki Barber who may be the Giants only chance against the Eagles, Emmit Smith who seems rejuvinated this year and Thomas Jones who has just returned from injury.

Sparxs1126(5-6) vs. Epsilon Delta (4-7)
Epsilon Delta is still doing thier one running back rotation but it may not hurt thme as badly this week with Moe Williams, Artrose Piner and Travis Fischer. Not exactly household names. Donovan McNabb could simply be enough to take the Sparx to victory.

gaelforce126(4-7) vs.NorCal Crushers (7-4)
Not sure if Hasselback will be back on the field for gaelforce this week and Clinton Portis will be hard pressed to dent the tough Steelers D. The Crushers could beat gaelforce with Ahman Green if he's helth enough to play.

boodah25 (6-5) vs.Dunedain (9-2)
gaelforce126 is taking thier lives in their own hands starting Drew Bledsoe on the road so Dunedain's Marc Bulger has a distinct advantage. Terrell Owens could be huge as well for Dunedain.

ValleyGirls(5-6) vs.Pelan's Bobcats(7-4)
The Valleygirls are at a disadvantage leaving a blank spot on the orster thus placing an even bigger onus on Daunte Culpepper having to produce bigger numbers. With Brian Griese, Rudi Johnson and Shaun Alexander on thier side the Bobcats have the opportunity for a blowout.

NU Cowboys (1-10) vs. ryforstek525 (2-9)
Can the Cowboys make it two in a row? With ryforstek525 saddled with the benched Kurt Warner it is a distanct possiblity now that the Cowboys have evryone actually playing.

Sigmakittens (4-7)
vs.Cooney Quest(2-9)
The kitties have fallen back into a slump once again and need this victory bad to stay in the playoff hunt. Hopefully for them Byron Leftwich will be back if not they will need a big game from Willis McGahee. The Quest, as usual, look to the Green Bay Packers to carry them to victory.

The Teal Curtain(11-0) vs.Amaizin' Blue (7-4)
The CUrtain barely escaped last week woth the victory and may be in even more trouble this week without Jamal Lewis and Amazin' Blue comming off of a league high 404 points last week led by Edgerrin James, Rudi Johnson and Reuben Droughns.

Playoff Analysis: Pre-Week XII

With three weeks left, the playoff race picks up. Problem is, unlike last year, this is an extremely tight race, especially amongst the five 6-5 teams vying for the last three spots. Also note that amongst prettymuch every team (with the obvious exception of The Shoats), a tie may as well be a loss.

 • Cooney still needs one win. They’ll also clinch with a loss from any two of the Monkeys, Charge, Fumblers, Cats, or Bonecrushers.
 • Philly can clinch with two more wins, or a win and a loss from any two of the Monkeys, Charge, Fumblers, Cats, or Bonecrushers.
 • Shoats, Girls, and Jets will clinch if they win out, or two wins and a loss from any two of the Monkeys, Charge, Fumblers, Cats, or Bonecrushers (and yeah, one win and two losses from any two of those five, if you want me to be complete).
 • Monkeys, Charge, Fumblers, Cats, and Bonecrushers are going to have to keep winning in such a tight race. As it stands, even winning out, they could possibly not make it (that’s 5 teams, 3 spots), though they could also make it on as little as a single win and a decent fantasy score (and I suppose they can lose the rest of their games and still make it with a lot of help).
 • Crushers and Dunedain are going to need at least two of three wins (and some help) to stay competitive (they, however, can lose two games and not directly be mathematically eliminated).
 • Lightning, Juggernauts, and Clan are going to need to win out (with help) to stay competitive (they, however, can lose another game and not directly be mathematically eliminated).
 • TSfR and Borg need to win out to even hope for a playoff spot. They’ll need a lot of help as well.
 • And thanks for playing Ryan, but the Hurricanes are eliminated.

And hey, we can also make some amazing assumptions based on the schedule.

 • In that 6-5 bracket, only one more game is played between themselves. It’s Week 14, Monkeys vs. Bonecrushers. It’s too early to tell the exact impact of this game, but it is likely that this game will have dire consequences for the loser. An interesting note here is that if this game ties, no matter what else happens, Cooney will clinch a playoff spot under my previous “tie may as well be a loss” clause.
 • Speaking of that 6-5 bracket, Rhode Island has both Philly and the Girls on their schedule. If they win those two, they may as well be guaranteed a playoff spot.
 • Also in that 6-5 bracket, only the Fumblers finish off their schedule with three teams under .500. So while they will have no direct impact on their fate, they will have an easier time winning out, and most likely taking a playoff spot in the process.
 • Since I’m on a roll with these 6-5s, both the Monkeys and Cats have two teams under .500, and another game which can directly affect them. They can afford to lose one against the sub-.500 teams, but they’ll definitely want to win the other game.
 • And finishing off the 6-5 teams, the Bonecrushers have The Shoats and Monkeys on their schedule. If they can win both of those, they’ll most likely be in the playoffs.
 • Philly has a chance to play spoiler, with both the Charge and Cats on their schedule.
 • Of Dunedain and Nor Cal (the 5-6 teams), Dunedain has the easier schedule, with their schedule being three teams below .500, compared to the Crushers one. That one: Dunedain themselves! In Week 14, these two teams face off. This battle may determine a low playoff spot, and it’s almost guaranteed that the loser will miss out on the playoffs.
 • While technically, any team in the top 10 right now is eligible to win the coveted number one seed, we can be realistic in saying that really only the top 5 have a shot. And it’s still anyone’s spot. These five teams are heavily interwoven between themselves in the rest of their schedules, with four games directly involving each other. In fact, it’s likely at least one of these teams will miss the playoffs (barring extreme tragedy in the 6-5 bracket). Cooney has the Girls and Shoats; Philly has the Jets and two 6-5 teams; The Shoats have the Girls, Cooney, and one 6-5 team; the Girls have The Shoats, Cooney, and one 6-5 team; and the Jets have the easiest schedule of the top 5 with only Philly being any real obstacle. It’s too tangled a web right now to give an exact picture of who needs to beat whom to get to the top and what happens when they do, but it’s certainly going to be interesting.
 • The Girls and Shoats have the toughest of the top 5 schedules (keeping in mind that The Shoats can afford a tie), and realistically, both are going to have to win out for a playoff spot. Problem is that they face each other in Week 12, meaning that the loser may start a downward spiral from there.
 • And I just find this simply hilarious in that the Clan essentially need to win out against Cooney, Rhode Island, and South Florida. Though if they manage to do that, they deserve the playoff spot.
This is a very exciting playoff race, with the top 12 well in contention for 8 playoff spots, and even up through the 15 spot are teams who have a decent shot. Unfortunately, this makes analyses very difficult. Hopefully, it’ll be easier next week. Of course, I’m secretly hoping it’s not. It’s more exciting that way.

League II Week XI Analysis

eh, better late than never...

Koko's X-Cats (6-5) vs.JC's Juggernauts (4-7)
The X-Cats are hoping for better play out of Aaron Brooks while the Juggernauts are looking for good play from Quincy Carter. The running game is pretty even as is the recivers so it may come down to which teams quarterback performs.

Rhode Island Charge (6-5) vs. Philly Cheesesteaks (8-3) ]
Both teams possess a couple of the most productive fantasy quarterbacks (Drew Brees for the Charge, Daunte Culpepper for the Cheesesteaks) the difference lies in the running game. The Cheesesteaks have the advantage with Domanick Davis and Duece McAllister over Willis McGahee and Josh Scobey.

South Fl Jets (7-4) vs.Nor Cal Crushers (5-6) [/COLOR
The Jets need Matt Hasselback to get back on the field especially with Jerome Bettis being relegated back to the bench with the return of Duce Staley. The Crushers have Trent Green playing well and but an aging Fred Taylor and an underperforming Kevin Jones.

Dunedain (5-6) vs The Borg (4-7)
So long as the Borg continue to leave Brad Johnson in the starting lineup they will continue to struggle. If Micheal Vick plays to his capable level of play he should lead Dunedain to victory.

Toronto Fumblers (6-5) vs. The Lightning ( 5-6)
The Lightning have the bigger names in the backfield (Marc Bulger, Edgerrin James, Rudi Johnson) than the Fumblers (Ben Roethlisberger , Chester Taylor, Julius Jones) but the Fumblers have a significant advantage with their recievers.

Hurricanes (2-8-1) vs. Coco's Monkeys (6-5) ]
The McNabb/Manning battle is practically a deadlock as are most of the battles up and down the rosters. What BJ Sams provides in the return game may take the Monkeys over the top.

This Space for Rent(3-8)
The Bonecrushers have been missing Byron Leftwich for the past few weeks and my get him back this weekend otherwise they could be looking at hurting their playoff chances severly if Tom Brady or Thomas Jones get hot.

Stud Man Clan (4-7) vs.Cooney Quest (9-2)
The Quest get a bye basically. The Clan are good as dead as long as they continue to ignore their roster.

Valleygirls (7-4) vs. The Shoats (7-3-1)

The Shoats are looking for their Indy 1-2 punch (Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne) to score lots of points fr them as well as Tiki Barber who may be able to gash the Eagles D for yards and points. The Valleygirls need lots of production from Emmit Smith, Kevin Watson and Javon Walker to snatch this one away.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league

The good news: Brandon Stokley scored three touchdowns for me today.
The bad news: Peyton Manning continued throwing three more touchdowns for Paragon571.
Conclusion: I need Ben Roethlisberger to throw at least a couple of TDs on Sunday to have any chance of winning.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league

Rhode Island Charge (6-5) d. Philly Cheesesteaks (8-3)
97-67
Can you tell Rhode Island isn’t playing at full strength? Philly can’t. “Both teams possess a couple of the most productive fantasy quarterbacks (Drew Brees for the Charge, Daunte Culpepper for the Cheesesteaks)…” They both threw decent games, but Brees took that battle 20-11. “…the difference lies in the running game. The Cheesesteaks have the advantage with Domanick Davis and Deuce McAllister over Willis McGahee and Josh Scobey.” On most days, this would be the case. Of course, most days don’t have Willis McGahee scoring four times. He single handedly took that battle 30-19 (and I dare say, imagine what would’ve happened had Priest Holmes been playing). The Charge’s receivers even stepped up, with Horn and Chambers outscoring the opposition 24-8. The Cheesesteaks managed to take defense by 1 point (in a surprisingly non-existent battle), but that was nowhere near enough to stop the Rhode Island Charge from keeping their place in the playoff hunt.

Koko's X-Cats (6-5) d. JC's Juggernauts (4-7)
79-40
You can tell the X-Cats won this game simply by looking at the number of double-digit performances they had. That’s five (count ‘em, five). Thou amongst these are Brooks (12), Pittman (13), Santana Moss (11), Antonio Gates (16), and Tampa Bay (10). And on the reverse side of things, you can tell that the Juggernauts really didn’t stand much of a chance, with their only double-digit performance being Reuben Droughns (10). The Cats knock the ‘Nauts out of the playoff race.

South Fl Jets (7-4) d. Nor Cal Crushers (5-6)
84-72
If you had told me around Week II that a game between these two teams would be so good, I would’ve called you crazy. Unfortunately, beyond the incredible defensive battle with the crushers winning 44-41, Nor Cal couldn’t get anything into double digits. And they needed it. While the QB battle was less than inspiring (though tied), the Jets dominance in the running game allowed Bettis and Tomlinson to combine for 28 points. They also got help from Chad Johnson’s 11. All the Crushers could do was sit back and watch.

Dunedain (5-6) d. The Borg (3-8)
91-43
Even earlier in the year, I still would’ve given this game to Dunedain. Which is sad, because I was all fired up about this great “comeback from the basement” story I was going to give. Don’t get me wrong, they played a great game. This is apparent by Vick’s 22, Blaylock’s 15, Stokley’s 20, and Pittsburgh’s 14. Sadly, such a great game is kinda ruined by the fact that it was The Borg they were playing. All The Borg could collect (get it, collect, collective? Oh, never mind) was Brian Westbrook’s 17. Also on the downside, I can’t use “Dunedain” and “tank really badly” interchangeably anymore… Woe is me in the course of Dunedain’s fifth straight win.

Toronto Fumblers (6-5) d. The Lightning (4-7)
69-62
“The Lightning have the bigger names in the backfield (Marc Bulger, Edgerrin James, Rudi Johnson) than the Fumblers (Ben Roethlisberger, Chester Taylor, Julius Jones)…” Correctly called. The Lightning won this six-man tag-team match 44-23. “…but the Fumblers have a significant advantage with their receivers.” Go Ed! Toronto takes this 12-3. Even though the pregame called this pretty well, we still have a large scoring discrepancy giving this game to The Lightning. This is rectified by a defensive battle score of 29-15. The Phantom Fumblers take that battle and the war.

Coco's Monkeys (6-5) d. Hurricanes (2-8-1)
91-32
Those unlucky Hurricanes just can’t get anything going for them (well, other than McNabb’s 14). Meanwhile, the Monkeys had Peyton Manning and his score of 40. I’ll stop here.

This Space for Rent (3-8) d. Bonecrushers (6-5)
65-32
Just when the Bonecruchers think they have a viable QB to replace the injured Leftwich, he gets benched. So Philadelphia’s 20 may have just as well been a blank. Not too much stands out on TSfR’s roster this week, but they easily outperformed whatever else the Bonecrushers could fire at them.

Cooney Quest (9-2) d. Stud Man Clan (4-7)
76-42
Vinatieri and Favre continue to make up Cooney’s offense with a combined 34 points. Alone, this isn’t much (especially considering that the rest of their offense just sat around and twiddled their thumbs). But the defense also came through for the Quest with 36 points. The Clan got some help from Dallas’s 22, but that was it. Cooney is now the first team with a guaranteed playoff spot.

The Shoats (7-3-1) d. Valleygirls (7-4)
85-25
Talk about your cataclysmic breakdowns. This game was not pretty. The Shoats inherited that amazing Thursday performance from the Colts with Harrison nabbing 24. New England also put up 22 in their victory. The Valleygirls are toast by this point. I’d call it simply bad luck, and the Girls are very likely to bounce back next week. Either way, The Shoats have technically clinched a playoff spot.

Rank Team Name W-L-T WPct Pts Streak
1 x Cooney Quest 10-2-0 .833 763 W-1
2 x The Shoats 8-3-1 .708 821 W-2
3 Ph!lly Cheesesteaks 8-4-0 .667 847 L-1
4 south fl jets 8-4-0 .667 683 W-1
5 Coco's Monkeys 7-5-0 .583 848 W-2
6 Rhode Island Charge 7-5-0 .583 784 W-1
7 Toronto Fumblers 7-5-0 .583 718 W-1
8 Koko's X-Cats 7-5-0 .583 714 W-3
9 ValleyGirls 7-5-0 .583 629 L-1
10 Dunedain 6-6-0 .500 637 W-5
11 BoneCrushers 6-6-0 .500 601 L-2
12 Nor Cal Crushers 5-7-0 .417 646 L-1
13 z the lightning 4-8-0 .333 681 L-6
14 z Jc's Juggernaut's 4-8-0 .333 630 L-1

16 z Stud Man Clan 4-8-0 .333 491 L-3
17 z The BORG 3-9-0 .250 436 L-5
18 z Hurricanes 2-9-1 .208 631 L-1

x= Clinched Playoff Spot
z= Mathematically Eliminated

I did not expect that many of the 6-5 pack to win this week. It knocked out a lot of teams who won this week. One thing of note: I said The Shoats have technically clinched a playoff spot. I did some researching of schedules and some math, and well, I'll explain my logic when I put up the playoff picture. Speaking of which, the current playoff picture will be up sometime between tonight and Sunday morning.

Re: 2004 Season for Fantasy Football, FIRST Robotics league

Two weeks left, twelve teams in the hunt, eight playoff spots. Two of these spots are clinched (well, one solid, and one technically, more on that later). But that still leaves ten teams vying for the last six spots. What will happen? Here’s how it is:
 • First of all, it should be noted that a tie may as well be a loss in a race this tight (with the exception of The Shoats).
 • We’re disregarding fantasy scores unless noted.
 • Cooney has clinched, plain and simple.
 • The Shoats have technically clinched. Okay, let me clarify. If you look at it from a mathematical standpoint, they need either one win, or a loss from any one of the Monkeys, Charge, Fumblers, Cats, or Girls to clinch. But then we look at Week 14 and see that the Girls and Charge play each other. So, there’s your one loss. There is one way The Shoats can miss the playoffs, and this situation is so unlikely that you’re better off playing Powerball than betting on this happening. The Shoats will only miss if they lose out, Monkeys, Fumblers, and Cats all win out, the Charge and Girls both win week 13, and the Charge/Girls game in week 14 ties (and even then, the Girls would have to make up a 200 fantasy point difference). And since a tie is so rare (especially on a specific game), I don’t like to include them in these playoff analyses. So rather than list all that, I’m just going to go ahead and say The Shoats have clinched.
 • Philly and Jets will clinch with either one win, or if one of the 7-5 teams lose out and both Dunedain and Bonecrushers lose one game.
 • Charge and Girls will clinch if they win out due to them facing in Week 14. Monkeys, Fumblers, and Cats will also clinch if they win out, due to the fact only four out of five 7-5 teams can possibly win out. Both situations will cause at least one team to be knocked below this bracket (and possibly into ninth if everyone stays in the spots they're in), making these win-out clinches possible.
 • Dunedain and Bonecrushers will want to win both games, and will want a couple of the 7-5 teams to lose out. They can, however, lose a game and not directly be eliminated.
 • Crushers need to win out to stay in the race. They’ll also need some help (which they themselves can actually provide).
 • And finally, Lightning, Juggernauts, TSfR, Clan, Borg, and Hurricanes are all mathematically eliminated.
 • On the number one spot, this is much simpler than it was last week. Cooney will clinch number one with either a win, or a loss from all of the Shoats, Philly, and Jets. On the flip side, the Shoats, Philly, or Jets can only possibly nab number one if they win out, and Cooney loses out.
Whew, that was a mouthful. Here are some interesting games on the schedule:
 • Jets and Philly face off this week. The winner of this game clinches a playoff spot.
 • This week also has the Crushers and Cats. The first of the Crushers’ challenges is in that 7-5 bracket, and if they win, they are directly helping themselves.
 • Week 14, Crushers and Dunedain. If the Crushers were victorious in their previous game, this game will most likely decide the number eight spot (okay, I’m done explaining my math )
 • Also Week 14 is the Girls/Charge game. The loser is most likely out, and the winner is most likely in.
 • There’s the Cats and Cheesesteaks Week 14. If Philly lost the previous week to the Jets and the Cats eliminated the Crushers in the previous week, this game may determine a low playoff spot.
 • Monkeys/Bonecrushers in Week 14 will not be pretty for the loser.
 • And what should be one of the best games of the year, Cooney and The Shoats square off Week 14. Could this game also determine the winner of the number one seed?
This is even more of a puzzle than last week. At least next week, I’ll finally have closure. Stay tuned for what is turning out to be a darn good playoff race.
