Any teams in the Syracuse area???

Hey I'm currenly a high school senior in the process of choosing a college to attend for the next 4 years so as you can tell its a huge decision. But I'm starting to lean towards Syracuse University and now with more scholarships arriving at my mailbox from Syracuse, it has made this University quite attractive and most likely will attend. But before I get sidetracked, I'm looking for teams in the Syracuse area that I could possibly join next Fall.

I have experience in building/engineering, strategizing, Team Captain for 2 years but my specialty would be the Chairman's Award/video component of the team. Although my team did not win our regional's Chairman's Award, we got excellent comments and reviews by the Judges, which I'm told is a rarity. The final decision was between the winner and our team. So leave a message on this thread or email me. Also I'll be in Florida to check out the competition.

FIRST is definately something I could do for the rest of my life.

Teams 174 and 891 are right in Syracuse. We (Team 145, T-Rx) are a little over an hour south in Norwich. Team 639 is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours away in Ithaca - they're associated with Cornell. Team 229 is from Potsdam (Clarkson U.) - a couple hours north. Plus there are a bunch from Rochester. I think I got them all in the area.

I am from team 891 here in syracuse. This was our rookie year and we are kind of small right now, so we can always use more people. I am from Syracuse Research Corporation and we are teamed with Central Tech Vocational School. We do all the work at the school, which is about 5 minutes from SU. Just e-mail me if you are interested.

Teams 174 and 891 - If you ever want help with anything, want to collaborate on designs off-season or whenever, want to arrange demos (State Fair?), etc - let me know. We had the Ithaca team over to Norwich this year for a while for an open house (kind of).
