Exclamation who's ready for SATs?

sooo... who out there is taking the SATs tomorrow? and is actually ready? cause i'm not! ack! i've been sooo busy with other stuff and school and i haven't been able to even open this huge SAT prep book that i bought. argh! it's huge and scary looking. i have less than 24 hours to cram all the information and vocabulary words into it. *sighs* okay i'm done complaining...

I'm taking the Math IC test for the SAT IIs tomorrow...I feel ready for that though...no stress...

It is best when you don't worry so much about them because that is usually when you do best..

Yes stress is a bad thing...
last june i took the SAT I, one of the girls in there started crying because she was stressed too much through her forcing herself to prep for it too much and freaking out of doing bad...i felt bad for her....

wow, yeah, that's pretty bad. i don't know, i guess i don't get stressed out for anything, but it's like i know i'll do alright, but even if i don't i can always take 'em again. you know? also, i don't get why people think they can cram a whole high school education into one night. plus, as far as i can tell, they don't test memorized facts too much, but logic and reason, so, i know i've said it in too many words, but just relax

yeah... i know. it's more or less like you either know it now or you don't. you can't really do much. but it's just the way that schools put emphasis on SATs. "the higher your schore the more likely you'll get into college." They make it sound like your future depends on this one dang test.
i'm supposed to be at my friends house right now. she wanted to memorize the whole dictionary together... lol. no... not doing that now. hehehe. but yeah. i'm trying to keep myself as calm as i can. but it's just the thought that i have to sit there for 3 hour taking the SAT I. that's too long for me. oh wells... just have to remember to relax and be cool.

The MEAP was a waste of 5 days of classes (one of them i missed as i was in florida with you fine people). The SAT's however are prolly just a waste of my $25. You can see that i'm really preparing right now, 11:30 the night before. I also don't understand why people cram for these tests. it seems like they are setting themselfs up for failure. The SAT is supposed to predict how well you will do in college. If you go in there after studying your brains out for months, yes your score may be higher but you don't have this kindof time in college. Seems to just hurt yourself. Plus you will never see 95% of the vocab ever again in your life. More useless crap to cram your head with. Maybe next year the test will include as the one disney guy said "Robotiers" hehe, just a qwirky little thought. I would die if it happend (which it wont) oh well, need educational sleep.

Good Luck Everyone!!!!!!!

I'm a senior so I don't have any of those dreaded SAT's and SAT II's anymore but I still do have AP testing next week...not fun. So good luck for those of you taking AP's too. Just remember, life's more than a standardized test.

yeah, i just got back from the SAT's about 30 minutes ago. I think they were really easy (especially the math). I think the ACT's were slightly harder. guess i'll find out when i get my scores (then i can compare them to my 30 on the ACT's. mmmm.... comparison and percentiles)

i took the bio SAT II today, and if you ask me, i think they were pretty easy. i think the college board screwed up though. questions 11 - 14 were based on a diagram of a MAMMALIAN CELL, yet they had a strand of mRNA going from the DNA (still being synthesized) out of the nucleus and to a ribosome. now, thry may just have been trying to save space, but it looks to me like they made a misleading diagram. oh well, just one of those things smart people like me pick up, mostly because we have so much extra time on the test.

i got back from the test about an hour ago. when i got there, i saw my friend that i was supposed to be studying with last night, and she was hecka freaking out. i mean she had flash cards with her. FLASH CARDS! just being around her made me all nervous. i just had to get away from her. but yeah. i guess they weren't that bad. the math section was really easy. but then again that is my strong point. now the verbal is another thing. big words that i don't know. ack! that's probably my lowest score. i guess i'll find out when i get them. now it's time for a month of procrastinating for the SAT II next month... lol.

Last night was our prom and it was about 35 min from my house. I went to it and didn't get home till about 1:30am. Then I couldn't go to sleep cuz I was think of the SATs... next thing I know my alarm goes off and it's 7am and in one hour I'd be takin the SAT. Suprisingly I didn't doze off any. I thought the Math was pretty easy and the English I always suck at... yet I get As in AP English III... hmmm. I guess we'll find out soon enough how well I faired.
