Go to Post For example an iron block is very simple and very robust. Strap a control system on it and it will meet the requirements of being a FIRST robot. However, it sure doesn't do very much, nor is it innovative. - sanddrag [more]

Talking Re: You know you're addicted to FIRST when...

-Your team has special names for a majority of the tools for your robot, the "GanonDorf" (link breaker) the "VictorialTranferers" (Victors), "UberCrimper" (wire crimpers), FluxCompacitor (robot controller)
-If they ask BattleBots after you say First Robotics Competition, they arn't your friend anymore.
-the sole Food in the work area becomes Pizza, WaWa, and Subway
-You wonder if something can be completed quicker using a robot
-You start to come up with sayings such as "WD40 is not the answer" and "Our robot is made from Canadian Fairy Dust and Magic--its completely indestructible, it costs nothing, and it does everything!"
-You'll kill for a Segway
-You see red, white, and blue shapes in your dreams
-You wake up to Mr. Roboto or Reel Big Fish (depending on our playlist)
-Feb 18th is Armadgedon
-You keep thinking up ways your robot could be used in daily life- ie: Seat mount so you can ride it to class
-Everytime your not with the robot/workin on it- you keep saying whatever it is your doing is a waste of time, or could be done AFTER build season
-ALSO - your excuse to why you cant do something after school/whenever is "It has to wait until AFTER build season"

1807-One Goal, One Ambition, Multiple Minds
"And you never saw it coming..."
-"Our Robot is made from Canadian Fairy dust, Velcro, Zipties, and UnObtanium!!"
