Duct tape

Does anyone know about a limit on the amount of grey duct tape we can use? We got a roll as part of the kit, but cannot find it anywhere on the parts listing. Thanks!

This needs to be checked out offically.

It is possible that the roll was an error in your kit.

In the past there were specific rules attached to the usage of duct tape.

Hey! Have you ever watched The Red Green Show (PBS). If you are a fan of duct tape he is the man.
He creates some great mechanical/engineered mechanisms with duct tape.

He also has a video set ( 4 tapes ) they are required viewing of all our students on the long bus rides.

Wait that could be termed as cruelity(sp) to children.

I agree with Mr. Martus (on many things). Rule K1 forbids adhesive tape. Either the roll of Duct tape was a mistake by the kit packers at FIRST or someone has played a trick on you.

Now there's an interesting idea... Let Woody take a year off and let Red Green write the contest rules. The 'Handyman's Secret Weapon' would be the only additional (purchased) kit material allowed. Of course, anything coming from a landfill would be legal!

And of course the control systems would have to be designed by Harold...

Personally I use it for everything, as for the robot, I'm not really sure.
