What's 'Right' with this world

As I sat here reading all of these posts on this forum and start getting excited about the Nationals, I started thinking about the bottomline of all of this.
We often hear about all of the bad things that happen in this world and then there is 'this', the thing called FIRST. Look at all of the people that hardly know one another working as hard as can be to help each other out. From sharing information to lending moral support, to technical advice, the list goes on.
I would want everyone to stop before we go to the Nationals and take a moment to think about not who is going to win, but how we have already all become winners by being a part of this. And each and every one of you are making the world a better place.
I say all of this at the risk of sounding kind of foolish, but Thank you to everyone from team members to FIRST crews, to sponsors and students, and the list goes on again, Thank you for making something 'RIGHT' in this world.
Now let's play ball.

:'how we have already all become winners by being a part of this'
This my friend is one of the wisest things that has been iterated this year, thanks for being bold enough to restate it before we all head south and get caught up in the emotional effort that is about to happen. I also would advocate that everyone take a moment, maybe at the opening or closing ceremonies and think about how much each of us has accomplished this year. Win or lose, every student, teacher, and engineer has learned or shared something with someone else that is as important as winning or losing a fun, but rather silly game (when you look at the big picture) Don't lose sight of all that's been accomplished, in the heat of battle! Good Luck to everyone, have a great time.
