Quick question about the ramp

Does anyone know what kind of steel the ramp lip is made of(Stainless or carbon).

The BOM says it is steel, I don't think the level of
carbon or nickel or any other alloy will make much of a
difference.

I think he wants to know if its a magnetic material, for in that case it would make a difference.

I am not sure that magnets are REALLY unlimited. They
are listed in the controls section of the additional
material list. I suspect that the intent was to allow
teams to trip the reed switches in the kit.

But... you are welcome to try to get away with it.

As to the type of steel then, carbon steel is cheaper
than stainless, knowing FIRST, I suspect that they
would not use the more expensive material unless they
had to.
