Question what about the drill motors?

Does anyone spent anymore time looking at those drill motors about the problem with demagnetization, or simply gone weaker under a huge load?

Is it possible that we will be facing the same problem next year? I don't suppose there's anyway of fixing the problem... Is it true that the problem only happen on re-magnetized drill motors?

By the way, do people think that FIRST will keep using the same drill motors next year? It was a rumor from the year before, and we end up with the same motors 2001...

I can't say anything about demagnetization, but I can't imagine FIRST getting rid of the current drill motors without replacing them with something else as (or more) powerfull.

Can you imagine trying to balance using only the FP motors to drive?

I agree that they won' replace them with something that fits in that niche.
The drill motors have the highest power output of any of the motors in the kit.
