Other on team #619, CArobot, from Charlottesville Albemarle. Are structural profiles (product # BSF-30720, manufactuer=Bosch) from the Small Parts Special Items and Components for FIRST Robotics Competion Catalogue considered to be part of the small parts cost? If so, is it legal to obtain the same structual aluminum profiles from a separate distributer as part of your additional parts? |

In Reply to: Re: extruded-aluminum frame as small parts Posted by CArobot on 1/19/2001 6:24 PM EST: Well, as long as the cross-section of the aluminum you are using is 2inches x 3inches, then you can count the items as from the additional hardware list, even though you bought them from small parts. If the cross section is larger, then you have to count it from small parts. Yes, you can get it from other manufacturers (i.e 80/20), but the cross section MUST be 2inches x 3inches or less. Jason |
