Go to Post I suspect the GDC is enjoying watching teams wrap their heads around this ranking algorithm.... and is probably a bit surprised that it has taken teams so long to clue in to the options this ranking system presents to them. - dtengineering [more]

This Gyro is driving me crazy!

Can anyone tell me what the units are that the Gyro outputs? I think I read somewhere that it is Degrees per second but like all the variables (byte) it goes from 0-255 with 128 being 0. Does anybody know the conversion?

I'd have to verify this in the Gyro specs (included in the manual), but I think its -63 deg/sec to 63 deg/sec scaled to 0-255 with a center around 127 (the word is it drifts)

Ok thanx for pointing me in the right direction. I looked up the value and it said it was 64 deg/sec. Using that information I was able to come up with some equations and write the code for it... Just have to test it tomorrow in the robot to see if it works how I wanted it too, hehe.
