Looking for the tape from the power window drive.

Hi.

We could really use a replacement of the black plastic
tape from the power window drive. Would be willing to
offer any parts we're not using for trade. Can anyone
help out?

Thanks.

Go to GM Dealer or McMaster-Carr

Matt,

The tape is available from two sources if you cannot find a trading partner.

GM dealers carry it in rolls of 100 feet. If you are nice to the dealer, they will sell you something shorter than that if cost is an issue. The tape is currently used on the GM Electric Vehicle and was last used on a high volume vehicle in model year 1996 on the Buick "W" car. Many other vehicles used it as well.

McMaster-Carr sells it too (actually, I can only state for sure that they carried it at least two years ago, but I think that they still handle it -- FYI, they sell some sprockets too, or at least they did).

Good Luck,

Joe J.

P.S. Late breaking news, I went to the McMaster-Carr site, they do indeed still sell the tape and sprockets.
