The future ... thanks Joe J.

After speaking at the Michigan Tournament (Thanks Zeeland and Grandville ... great tournament), I started thinking about our future ... Where will this all end? Where does it really begin? When will we see the true rewards of FIRST? We aren't really seeing the rewards yet, it is too soon. I have students who are now looking for FIRST colleges. That is where it is going to begin! The speech that I made, made reference to all the students that I was sending to Michigan Tech. I then heard from a Kettering contact that Kettering was a good school too ... would I advise my students to go there? This is interesting. To have students look at colleges because of FIRST teams, like basketball players or football players look at scholarships for their universities. This is exciting. To think that we could have the colleges and universities get competitive in scholarships for a FIRST team! It is the step toward a truly advanced future civilization!

Three years ago, Joe J. told me that, 'FIRST was good for our country! It is good for humanity!' I never really understood that, until this weekend. Thank you Joe. I have been enlightened, and I feel that for the FIRST time ever, I can make a difference on our country and our humanity!

FIRST is good for us. It is good for our own Children. Don't give up, even if you are as tired as I am!

FIRST is worth our own retirement ... a better world!
