There are a lot of improvements that can be made in Autocad. However, a lot of those are for more specific areas. I know that at work here (a Civil Engineering firm), we use both Microstation and Autocad. Microstation because it's good for making very long road or rail plans. I've been told that it does better with things of that nature than Autocad. Autocad is only used because that's how the various government agencies in Maryland want it. So there still is room for improvement and still room for polishing of Autocad. It's got a lot of good features but there will always be room for improvement.
