J&J Mid Atlantic Regional

At J&J Mid Atlantic Regional today the following teams won:
Alliance #1
25- Raider Robotix
102- Gear Head
340- Great Rodchester Robotics

In Second:
Alliance #2
103- Cybor Sonics (Won chairmans award)
87- Diablo
....- Think its 222?!? IF NOT SORRY!

My team, 1089, was eliminated in the semi-finals by alliance #1 (25's). We had the best time. In the finals we were picked by alliance #5 hosted by team 30. Then we picked TJ^2 in the secound round of picking.

We finished 12th, I think, and being picked 2nd, out of not in top 8, and by the 5th alliance! We lost 3 rounds in the qualifying round, one being disqualified from a problem with our partners and another robot. I wish we were going to the nations but we didn't even have the money at the time of the money deadline to even go to Rutgers! I wish I remembered the the 3rd second place team, sorry.

Most of the qualifying rounds we were in top 8 but with the disqualifying we droped from 10 to 14 and then some how went back to 12. Post your stories from Rutgers regional here!

I would like to congratulate the winning alliance, the second place alliance, cybersonic for chairmans, the brazil rookies winning the rookie award, Manville for winning the 2nd rookie award, everyone for making marvelous robots, and all other winners of awards. I would also like to thank team 30 and team 88 for being great alliance partners.

T-ton, I couldn't have said it better myself.

I was so pleased to see my first regional, and so happy to have been a part of this competition.

I thought we made a great showing, and I felt that we both sensed and emanated a tremendous showing of gracious professionalism.

Thanks to all of the teams there, especially FURY and TJ^2 for being our alliance partners in the elimination rounds.

Semifinals for a rookie team -- not too shabby!

Good luck at the nationals, everyone!!!
