Anyway, long story short, we cut out the bladder from the ball, and about an hour's worth of duct taping later , we have our very own bladderball. It only holds air for about half an hour, but that's half an hour of bizzare fun.

The leak was really about a 6-inch long slash in the bladder, so it took several layers of tape to get it even this good. It is currently in our crate awaiting our arrival in Seattle.
hm.. i guess i'll have to join in on the fun out there.. and bring my friend that sings the duct tape song (- http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...&threadid=2697 -) to drive you all insane whilst you play with said "bladderball".. not to mention the fact that half of everyone there will prolly want to join in on the fun.

what better way to drive university students insane than having a girl sing a very annoying song (funny to me though) and having high school kids goofing off on university turf?

i used to make duct tape wallets and gave them to friends, but then everyone who wanted on got one, so i stoped making them.

one time at summer camp, i made a huge platform up in the trees about 10 ft off the ground consisting of only wood and duct tape, no rope! it was about 6ft by 10ft

A guy on our team wore his duct tape hat... his suit was up at the cottage *sigh* let's see.... in a competition I used to do anytime something on our set broke we'd just kinda plaster on duct tape.
That duct tape purse sounds kinda cool... i just might do that...
Oh, there's a chick at my school that has a shirt with a strip of duct tape across with "your ad here" in permenant marker written on it.
Hm... that's all I have off hand.. I have some nice stories about plastic wrap tho.....
*hugz to all as alwayz*

The oddest? A friend in college let us duct tape his sort of longish hair into spikes for no reason whatsoever. Since Garret county still had some kind of a dry county law in affect, we headed over the boarder to West Virginia and went to some hick bar and scared the bejeezus out of the local bumpkins there.

Oh, trying to get the duct tape out of his hair was too painful, so he ended up with a very, very short haircut. Which made his parents very happy.

It's confirmed: my mind isn't twisted, it's actually sprained.

okay, were you at the toronto regional? because i swear that i heard someone tell me that exact same story there. it kinda freaks me out, in fact it would freak me out more if you hadn't been there....scary stuff, scary stuff...

anyways...i think that with all of you guys put together, you could have beem millionaires with all the money that you've spent on duct tape, like i can talk tho. im just as bad....its sad really that so many people can find such amusment with such a simple object like duct tape...

p.s. if your every stranded in the woods (or on a survival trip like i was) all you need are a few logs and a couple rolls of duct tape and you've got a perfect little lean-to to sleep in!

p.s.s it helps to have other insulation because in the middle of the night, duct tape doesn't insulate very well. and that, might, eventually, lead to duct tapes downfall! how depressing! if only it could insulate better, all those people in duct tape clothes could go out in the winter!

Sorry to freak you out, but I wasn't there. Unless my evil twin was there, er, wait a minute, make that my good twin, I'm the evil one... I think. Or we maybe we're both one and the same? (okay, no more They Might Be Giants for tonight).

Thanks for the hint for camping. I'll make sure I always take a roll of it with me. I suppose it could also come in handy if your tent-mate it snoring... as earplugs, of course!

i made my wallet out of duct tape. its REALLY great. i have two card holder pockets, a see through pocket for my id, and two money compartments. its really shiny tape, and it has nylon strands in it to make it super durable. its like a tank. and the coolest thing is that when i am in a airport, it makes the metal detectors go of so i have to take it out. when i do everyone looks and stares. its rectangular and shiny, they are all so surprised. i like it very much.

On one of the many late nights during the build period, one of our members took it upon himself to make new shoes out of cardboard and duct tape.

It was fun for a few minutes, but the real hilarity occured outside.

It was approximately 2am, and had been raining the day before. As we were on the way to our various modes of transportation, we came to the end of a walkway, infamous for having a huge dip at the end, in which a seriously deep puddle forms after rain. We were all talking and joking (as well as anyone can after a 14 hour day), when all of a sudden, Bill says, "Watch out for that puddle..."

*splash!*

The dude with the duct tape shoes stepped right in the middle, the deepest part, of the miniture lake...

At that point, we were all in hysterics. It was the funniest thing that had happened all day, and I don't think I'll ever forget about it...
