Download a Video of Team 188 in ACTION!

Student on team #188, Blizzard, from Woburn Collegiate Institute and Ontario Power Generation.

Please visit our site, or click on the link below, and download a video of Team 188, 'Blizzard', in action. This video gives a quick overview of our robot's abilities and speed.

As a quick recap, our robot has an innovative design that allows it to score ALL 4 big balls by squishing two of them between the two goals. We then, ideally with the help of a ramp manipulating robot, balance the two goals on the ramp. This provides the 4x multiplier as well as places all four big balls in scoring position giving each team an additional 1.1x multiplier.

Additionally, we can right ourselves when tipped, sweep small balls from under the ramp, tow goals without grabbing onto the horizontal bar, and raise/lower the bridge.

Enjoy!

Anthony Xu
Team 188.

saw the video guys and i'm impressed. sexy robot that is .

so here's my question:

when u balance by yourselves, how long does it take u to do it? in the video u guys did it in a second, but i see that you guys slipped a ball underneath the bridge ....am i right? or was that just a shadow?

(we're a wedging bot) and i'm trying to think how usefull we'll be for those balancing bots...

we wedge something beneathe the bridge, and as soon as the balancing bot is balance, we slide out and leave.

Yes, you're right, we did have a ball underneath the ramp for our video. The reason for that was because of speed. Balancing by ourselves is unreliable and takes a relatively long time so we would definitely work best with a ramp robot such as the one your team has.

Anthony.
