Student on team #192, Gunn Robotics Team, from Henry M. Gunn Senior High School.

After averaging an hour of sleep during the two night of Silicon Valley regional competition, I found myself uploading some pictures from both the SoCal and Silicon Valley regional competition. Now that I think about it, I suppose I could¡¦ve gone to bed earlier than 2am in the morning after 60 ~ 70 hours of work¡K but I didn¡¦t¡K

Now that I partially recovered from one of the most exciting competition I¡¦ve been to, I would like to take the chance to Thank You Team 258 Sea Dawgs, 159 Poudre Robotics, 368 Kika Mana, and 609 EAHS Greenies for being such GREAT alliance partners.

It¡¦s been an honor working with you in the finals. All of your machines have extremely high qualities, and there is no one else we would rather work with through the tough competition we had. Although we didn¡¦t advance from the semi-finals, there is nothing I would regret from this experience.

For those of you who are going to National, we hope to be in the same division with you so we can play matches together again. For those of you who can¡¦t, we will be looking forward to see you in next year¡¦s competition¡K

I also like to thank other teams in the finals for making this such a strong competition. Believe me, there were so many fine machine on the field of Silicon Valley regional¡K

The Cheesy Poofs (254) machine is extremely good in balancing and helping human players load in the small balls, and Bionic Bulldogs¡¦ (60) machine is amazing in going under the bar and scoring big balls consistently, Monta Vista¡¦s (115) machine is also really great with balancing, while the Deceptions¡¦ (376) is just as consistent and fast in going under the bar and scoring big balls as the Bulldogs¡¦¡K

Beach Bot 4.0 (330) is famous for getting two big balls on the goals, while Sea Dawg¡¦s (258) have a long reach that could¡¦ve scored a big ball on the further balanced goal. Finally, all the bridge manipulator (481, 609¡K) controlled the bridge really well, and the limbo bots (8, 255, 368, 359, 363¡K) are just so good and useful in the field¡K

We will see you all in Florida¡K
