Field Border Size

The field border is made from two 2" x 4" boards fastened at right angles to each other; a flat 3.5" side is vertical and faces the playing field. The other 3.5" side lies flat on the carpet and has holes drilled in it every 8' where a 16" piece of 1.25" PVC is inserted vertically; each piece of the PVC pipe has holes drilled into it where ropes pass through; there are two ropes that go through each upright PVC pole and encircle the field. This barrier is not meant to be interacted with by the robots; it has been designed to contain rolling balls and to keep robots from accidently leaving the carpeting. In front of each player station will be a 3' tall, 4' wide barrier made from pipe and Lexan; balls will be able to roll under the barrier as there is a 12" high slot at the bottom where there is no Lexan.
