Exclamation RX

I perscribe you to get a bowl of your favorite snack and watch Survivor tonight. This will help you to not become insane. Have a nice day.

You definitely need SOMETHING to keep yourself sane during robotics... although sanity is overrated I hear...

Seriously, one of the tricks of keeping out of burnout within the FIRST season is to have something else going on to switch your mind over to....so youre not totally focusing on robotics.

Back in HS, I would be doing theatre and robotics simoutaneously. I would do robotics from 4-7, and then run up the hallway and do theatre from 7-9:30, and then head home.

It was so refreshing, because Id be using my head for 3 hours and then I'd head up the hallway and use my feet, or my voice.

Benefits: Your entire team shows up for the performances. I once found myself at a performance where one of our engineers brough 6 little kids with him (we were doing "Annie")

Disadvantages: In 99 I came back from the Philly regional late sat nite, my voice shot. I had a 6 hour rehearsal the next day....it looked like the director was going to kill me

But still, find yourself a distraction.

smokescreen is on a distinguished road
masochistic choice

All of us have signed up to do FIRST this year.

This is our own masochistic choice.

There is no turning back.

Leave sanity at the door.

Sanity?? What sanity?? Seriously though, I keep sane, if I have any sanity worth keeping, by playing video games.. FF7.. soon to be 10, already beat 9.. Just got Grandia II, wanna play Myst 3.. This may not be healthy, now that I think about it.. Time to head back to planning electrical subsystems..
