AM Cim Sim RPM variation

Has anyone tried using the AM CIM sim gearbox with the 20,000 rpm FP motor from this years kit and the 15,600 rpm Andy Mark motor? How significant is the efficiency loss in the higher speed motor? Can any problems be counteracted by only powering the FP motor at a 75% full power?
