Material for hood
My team is designing a shooter with a hood, and we are wondering what sort of material we should use for the hood. Also, what sort of material should we use for a prototype?

Re: Material for hood
A good material is lexan because it is lightweight and easy to prototype with. It also can be bent to make it a good material to tweak and prototype with.

Re: Material for hood
We prototyped our shooter wide sides cut out of 1/2" plywood and a top of 1/16" lexan. add some 2x4s for framing and wood screws to hold it all together and you're set.
