Re: Team 61 driving

Looks solid--love your bridge pusher.

I'm looking at the back as you get off the bridge, and it doesn't look like a normal shooter. Something hiding out there?

Re: Team 61 driving

Turning is not a problem. If you set up the tracks right you will not have a problem. Are first track drive robot was in 1996 since then we have made many changes to improve the track system.

Re: Team 61 driving

Did you all specifically choose tank treads for easier balancing on the bridge?
I'm interested in hearing why you all chose tank.

Either way- completely solid robot! Looks like very sleek!

Code:

Why we picked the track drive:
1) Can go over the middle bar very easily.
2) Can balance very easily.
3) Very hard to be pushed when scoring.
4) If we think of defense then we could play defense but not on our top list.

Code:
What motor do you use to get the bridge down? or is it pneumatic?
The van door motor. very nice for this job.

Re: Team 61 driving

And do you gear it down? Or just directly power the appendage?
