If anyone has not booked htier Disney reservations yet, you might be in a little trouble. I just booked this morning, and got some of the last rooms at all star... and we did not go through FIRST packages...just a small word opf warnign to make sure to book your arrangements now, or you may be stuck off the parks..Also, I priced it out myself, adn came up with a much cheaper price than the package price for FIRST, a few more steps but it saves us almost $200 a person. You might want ot check it out..Have a fun day and for those of who have snow, enjoy it and leave extra time to get to those meetings!

we faxed in our stuff Monday after kick-off.. and they returned to us saying there were no rooms at the all-star!! and we did get stuck off disney property! now we're paying for park-hoppers and our kids have no way to even get to the parks..

i'm beginning to think the competition shouldn't be in disney next year.. i like the support.. but..

I figured that they would be booked solid, so i went through a private travel agency, since Disney wasn;t much of a help...they couldnt figure out why I didn;t want the package 'deal' through FIRST.(not only was it sold out, but more expensive) Going through a travel agent saved money, and got us rooms...so, for any teams who have made the same mistake in not bookign early, do it soon, you might still be able to get into Port Orleans or Caribean Beach, and you might save a few bucks. This gets tougher and tougher every year, especially with the large number of teams. Hey--For next year, why dont we just reserve ALL of All Star! That might make things easier. I know, becasue to even get rooms I spent all day on the phone. Good Luck everyone and I hope most everyone was able to make it onto the parks!

We stayed off Disney our first year and it really wasn't that bad. We saved A LOT of money and got sweet two story condos with porches, two bathrooms, and a whirl pool. It's a couple minutes from Disney and well worth it; I can get you the name if you want.

we've already booked at a 'Good Neighbor Hotel'.. not that we expect it to be bad, but we really don't want to pay for park hoppers if the kids are never going to get to go to them!

Buy Separately, all you miss out on are the food tickets and the tee-shirt, well worth it if you want to buy the passes right through Disney at a Youth Group rate of $108 for a 3 day park hopper or $138 for a 4 day..this way, you can buy a smaller pass and use it all and, save money on it at hte same time...contact group reservations at 1-800-327-2989.

I was just told by Disney that any team not buying 'packages' through FIRST would not be able to comptete. I'm waiting for word from FIRST (Theresa) on this, but you might want to keep your heads up.

I got the info from Theresa. *grin* Leave it to Disney - nice people, but they can be oh so stupid. This isn't the first time they've given me mis-information, or even dropped a reservation completely (what a nightmare that was last year!)
