Axis Camera issues

Our axis camera wont give us a picture in our driver station, and also it gives us a blinking green light with a quick flash of red. Could this be a wiring issue?

thanks!

Re: Axis Camera issues

Check the IP address on the camera and make sure it is set to 10.te.am.11 if you are putting it through the bridge on your robot.

We have the same flashing red and green light indicator light and our IP address gets reset every time the camera is power cycled. So we have to reset it before the camera appears on our driver station. We are still trying to figure out how to stop this from happening.

Re: Axis Camera issues

If the IP address won't stick, either configure it manually or download the latest camera config tool from the NI site. The one released at kickoff had a bug that left the camera network settings a bit inconsistent. On boot up, the camera fixes the inconsistency by doing a factory reset of those settings, so your IP address is modified.

Re: Axis Camera issues

Thank you for the advice. I have been using the updated camera config tool. Also I have tried to manually set it using the AXIS management tool. Either way the camera seems to reset itself. We get the indicator light flashing red and green during operation. I haven't been able to find this in any AXIS documentation. Any more advice would be wonderful. Thank you.

Re: Axis Camera issues

It is also pretty easy to mount the camera so that the mounting of the camera causes the reset button to be pressed all the time, or when the robot is bumped. You may want to verify that isn't happening.
