Multiple Driver?

Student on team #192, Gunn Robotics Team, from Henry M. Gunn Senior High School. Posted on 2/9/2000 1:00 AM MST Would it be legal to have more than 2 driver so that we can switch to different drivers depending on the enemies? |

Not at the same time (see rules about the number of people on the stage for a match), but from match to match you can certainly change the people who go to the field if you wish. They just have to swap badges (stage passes). It is in fact a very good idea to have at least two students available for each position, just in case something happens to one of them (like food poisoning, as happened to us one year...although in that case having a backup didn't help, since everyone ate at the same resturant...perhaps we should make sure that the primes and backups eat different meals...yeah, that's the ticket, just like airline pilots). And think of them as adversaries, not enemies...at least until the finals. Tom Frank |
