2084 Boston Final Rounds

125 Nutrons, 78 Airstrike, and 2084 Robots by the C
-vs-
341 Miss Daisy, 233 The Pink Team, and 246 Overclocked
In the final matches of the Boston Regional today. Introductions to the first final match are at 2:29:30.
We lost the last match because red double balanced in the last 5 seconds

I'm really happy with our robot, though: no mechanical, electrical, or programming problems at all; second-highest amount of points scored in autonomous; 7th in bridge points; the first time 2084 has ever achieved finalist status; and the best robot we've ever built.
Unfortunately, we're not going to St. Louis, but we will most likely be attending 125's Beantown Blitz and/or WPI's Battlecry in the offseason.

Good luck to everybody competing in St. Louis.

Re: 2084 Boston Final Rounds

Strategy in the second finals match looks like a preview of the sort of ball control tactics that will be relevant and necessary at Championships.

125 had an awesome time at Boston and learned about the disadvantages of optical encoders versus magnetic ones (the hard way, of couse ).

Congratulations to every team who made it to these rounds! Am I correct in thinking that 42-32 is the highest combined autonomous score seen anywhere so far?
