Team 2073 Year-End Awakeathon

Hello everybody! FIRST Team 2073 is planning on hosting an all night (7pm-7am) party on May 18-19th. This is not finalized. We will finalize this when we have received interest from at least 5 teams. Our team is located in Elk Grove, CA. While we would like to invite those teams in the greater Sacramento area, we welcome all teams who are willing to come. This is free, team relationship building, fun event. I would like to get some feedback and promote interest in this, which is why I posted it here. Thanks you guys, and I look forward to seeing you there!

Wow! I've never been to an awakeathon before! Sounds fun! Plus, it's FIRST people! Great idea throwing one! However, while it is fun, I don't think many people from teams who don't live near Elk Grove or the Greater Sacramento Area will be able to come, mainly due to distance.

On your note, though, I'd love to have some more FIRST in CA events and parties! That would be awesome! I hear about them in the east/midwest, so why can't we have some fun in the sun in CA?!

You can put down 295 - Renevatio (In Roseville/Granite Bay Area Pretty Close). But I don't know how much attendance we'll have as this is the week before our finals

Ok, so we're DEFINITELTY changing the date to either the first week of May or the week after the 18th/19th. So if 295 is still interested, we'll be sure to send you guys an invite!

Too funny... I just had a student ask me today if we can have a lock-in this May... So better yet, let's crash visit another teams party! So team 701 is definitely interested! Do you have the space? Gym? Maybe each team can bring a game/activity? Keep us posted!

We will have access to our main gym, secondary gym, and cafeteria. It is highly recommended that each attendee bring some form of entertainment. Wether it be video games or board games or whatever you want!

What alternate dates work for everybody. We can make it any Friday-Saturday in May. I know a couple teams had a problem with 18-19 and one team had a problem with 25-26 and the first weekend of May was also requested.

With Proms, Graduations, Finals, Fairs, Demos, there probably won't be one weekend that will work for everyone. I know for us 18-19 would be the best for us, but I say just pick a date and go for it.

We sent out informal invitations. So far, teams that have shown interest are:

We have no confirmations yet as to who is going for sure. We sent out an invitation to 3250, we have received no response as to interest.

I've told the team about the event and some of us have shown particular interest in attending.

I can't make any promises as to how many people from 3250 are going but you can confirm that at least one person will make it.
