Hexy the Hexapod

One of my friends from High School spent the last couple of months working on a low cost open source hexapod, and recently did a Kickstarter for it. Much to his surprise it got funded in one day.

Seeing as CD likes robots, I thought some people here might be interested.

The part that baffles me is that they offered to sponsor several Boston teams and no one took them up on it...

I knew your description was an understatement when I saw who was posting, but I was still only expecting something about as big as Curiosity. Looks cool.
