Re: Ramp Riot 2012: The Official Thread
Nothing final yet, but StuyPulse is pretty dead set on returning to ramp riot. It was a fantastic event last year and I know it will be fantastic again in 2013.

Just an FYI that we already have 18 teams registered.
(Half full in the first 3 days) As mentioned before we usually sell out by very early August and last year we sold out in July. So, if you know that you plan to attend, please go to the website as soon as your plans are definite. Thanks! Al Ostrow |

1676 will hopefully be signing up soon! We can't wait to be with all of our new friends, including our alliance captains 2168 from NYC, and all of our old ones as well!

Re: Ramp Riot 2012: The Official Thread
Since I can no longer edit the list above, I just wanted to let teams know that there are only (6) team slots left. We will post another team list when we have full registration.
Thanks for your support of Ramp Riot! Al Ostrow |

Is there a post that has the winners and how many cans of food won? I needed to leave before the final matches.

In a very MOE-like display of community service, 365 brought in the most cans with 555! The FTC event even managed to bring in 189 cans, which is quite impressive All in all, Ramp Riot 13 was awesome. Great spirit (thanks 75 for keeping the rafters LOUD), great teams (lots of double doubles, 5 bots up, and triples as well), and even better for the cleanup crew/travelling teams: we ended right on time! On behalf of Team 1676, we would like to extend our most sincere thanks for all of your congratulations. We had an amazing time at the event, and it was great being able to finally return. We recently found our 2005 Ramp Riot Winner Trophy hidden in our shop (we were the backup bot), and it felt wonderful to be able to go back, this time winning the trophy as alliance captain. Was the webcast recorded somewhere? We would love to be able to relive those tense moments.
A HUGE thanks to Mr. Ostrow and 341 for hosting the event, and also to both 341 and 2606 for being awesome alliance partners, as well as 423 for being our backup robot. We couldn't have done it without you. 75, as always, your enthusiasm that you bring is incomparable. Even though you only brought 16 team members, we could only strive to be as spirited as you were. Hearing you cheering for us as we accepting our awards was such an incredible feeling, which we cannot thank you enough for. Congrats on a very well deserved Spirit Award. We hope that Eve ended up okay in the end. Thank you to Little Bear, Eric, Katie, Liz, Howard, Mike Rizzo, and everyone else involved with MC-ing/FTA-ing/reefing/etc. Some how after being behind schedule in the morning, we ended right on time, and the event couldn't have ran as smoothly without all of your dedication and help. 2607, 1218, 75, and 1923 - thanks for some intense final matches. After seeing you're strategy for winning the semi's, boy were we scared! You guys put up an intense fight, and it was an honor to play against you. 2016, 25, and 1640, boy did you triple-balance fast! We were scared of you too! You were one monster of an alliance, and I believe hold the high score for the event. You played amazingly, and have much to be proud of. MOE - 555 cans? That's crazy! That's half of what they collected. Wow. That's an outstanding feat, which we greatly applaud you for. A huge congrats to winning the Mike Wade Memorial Award (How many years is this for you guys? =P) 2016, thank you for collecting donations for Hurricane Sandy victims. That is very thoughtful of you, and we were honored to be able to help you out. Also, congrats to 869 on a winning the Judge's Award, and to Team 306 for winning the G.P. Award. We hope that 694 and 369 are able to recover from their storm damages quickly. If there is anything at all that we can do to help, please let us know. Lastly but certainly not least, thank you to all teams who attended for making it such a great event. It was the last competition for our 2012 robot, Iron Horse, and you all help make it the best it could be. We wish everyone the best of luck, and look forward to seeing you all soon next season. Sincerely, Ryan Hall 2011-2013 Co-C.E.O. FRC Team 1676, The Pascack Pi-oneers Last edited by Hallry : 13-11-2012 at 06:41. |
