Telescopic Linear Slide?
Can someone point me to a telescopic linear slide that has an initial length of about 16" and expands to as much as possible (but no more than 4")

A 16 inch linear slide that can extend 4 inches should be easy to find at you local Home Depot or Lowes. Look for drawer slides.
