A peak under the hood...

Posted on 4/13/2000 12:51 PM MST Anybody else been interested in what's inside that 'black box' also known as the Robot Controller? The main thing that I've noticed is that although supposedly (correct me if I'm wrong) there are three Basic Stamp 2X chips in the Robot Controller I can only see chips in pairs on the board. Of what would definately appear to be the Basic Stamp Chips (the large ones that appear to be on removable mountings, I can't remember what they look like exactly from last years control box), there are only two. Someone want to tell me what I'm missing here? |

I don't know for sure about the 2SX chips, but a standard Basic Stamp is actually quite small(from seeing the one that we had in our sound controller), so I'm guessing those large chips on the board are something else... |
